Changes to our Roasting Approach

roasting-update-march-2017

Since we started roasting we have been roasting to order- only roasting coffees that we had orders for. The trouble is in order to roast coffee to its full potential in terms of quality, we need to roast a minimum quantity. Small orders were leaving us with lots of left overs, which just isn’t viable.

So to improve the viability of the roastery without compromising the quality of the coffee you receive, we have decided to tweak our roasting and ordering process. Now we will dispatch coffee that is no more than 7 days old. This guarantees fresh coffee before the coffee has peaked in flavour (we find this is usually around 14 days after roasting).

This may also mean that you receive coffee only a day old- in this case, we recommend that it is rested further to enhance your experience.

Thanks!
