We are proud to announce that our Charlestown & Unione Espresso Blends have both been awarded again a Great Taste Star for 2020. For the Charlestown, this is the 4th consecutive year it has won the award.
What’s more, our Decaf Colombia Popayan Reserve has been awarded the even more prestigious 2 Star award.
This was the first time we entered the Decaf to the competition, and we are blown away with the result and the judge’s feedback. Here is what the judges had to say about the coffee:
“An impressive nose, giving up notes of cherries, almonds and citrus. There was a clean, bright acidity and an explosion of dried fruits, sour cherries and toasted nuts, creating a really expressive coffee with lots of character. A wonderful layering of the flavours, with a balanced acidity, some sweetness and a lasting flavour of stone fruits, nuts and a hint of bitterness for balance. A lovely coffee with a unique flavour profile and a truly delicious overall taste”

In 2019 we were given the title of Great Taste Producer, which signifies winning Great Taste Awards for 3 or more years running.
